Bad algae?

The first looks like just a diatom bloom. New tank, I'm guessing? If so, it's a normal thing that happens, and some snails will make quick work of them. You can blow it off the rocks with a turkey baster, but it'll just come back. Eventually it'll burn itself out and go away. Kind of a "new tank rite of passage" we all go through.

The second though is strange. First thought is cyanobacteria (red slime), but only because of the color. Is it kind of slimy and covers the rock in a sheet? Lots of bubbles in it? I don't see any bubbles, and it doesn't look slimy... that's why I'm a little confused. If it is cyano, it usually means excessive nutrients in the water (nitrates/phosphates) and/or a lack of water circulation.
