Banana plants and cichlids?

Think I know the answer but just want to check. I've only heard of java fern and Anubis with cichlids so I'm guessing banana plants are a big NO?

Only reason I'm asking is cause someone is getting rid of banana plants for free or trashing them so I thought I'd make sure.

Those are sweat plants and cichlids will devour them.

That's what I thought. When I saw "free" I just had to make sure!
