Bc14 issue?

Hi all! So my bc14 has recently started spitting a lot of air bubble out of the return pump and it makes my tank look dirty and they stick to everything. I can't seem to find out why but I know it can't be good of the pump. I'm clueless so any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Actually no. Everything but that..how do I necessarily clean it?

There should be a piece or 2 that come off so you can get to the impeller. I run it under the faucet after I take it apart to make sure there isn't a bunch of gunk built up around it.
