Best staple food for electric blue crayfish

I currently use hikari crusteacean and algea wafers as a staple for my cray



I recently saw that new life spectrum has come out with a crustacean formula aswell

Any recommendations or personel experience?

Is either superior to the other?

The foods you mention are perfectly fine to use. I've never used new life spectrum.

I feed mine a variety of things:

- Algae wafers (as you mentioned)
- Homemade "snail" jello (recipes can be found lots of places. I basically just use baby food, some spinach [or other high calcium veggies], and crunched up algae wafers and possibly fish flakes... here's a good recipe: recipes)
- Ramshorn snails as an occasional snack and minnows if I have them at the time
