Beta Sorority Tank

Just curious as to anyone's opinions or experiences with keeping female betas. I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on the topic of keeping more then one in the same tank, let alone with different species. I was thinking about doing it, but I'm getting the impression that it's probably a bad idea. Anyone got any experience?

I had a beta sorority. Absolutely no problems as long as you put them all into the tank at once, and I think it needed to be an odd number. It was quite nice.

Plants will always help if there happens to be any aggression...which there probably wont be any.

Isn't it also smart to add the betas at the same time?
