betta plants?

What plants do well in a small tank with normal gravel, no co2, with lamp lighting (60 watt incandescent) and natural light all day.
 
Well, you should replace the incandescent with a CFL bulb, as they are generally better at growing plants than red-heavy incandescent bulbs.


As far as plants... Crypts, anubias, java fern, and wisteria are readily available, tough, and beginner friendly. They the first three are also fairly low light tolerant if you don't have much light (depending on the lighting arrangement).
