Bloated cherry barb

These female cherry barb have extremely bloated stomachs. Don't think it is from over eating. The smaller one in front of first pic has it too, though not as extreme. Has been like this for several days but gotten worse today. Any ideas about what if could be? Do they get big like this before they drop eggs?

How are they doing? I'm afraid I don't really know on the bloating.

I think they must be about to drop eggs. There is some pretty intense spawning activity going on. fed them some peas yesterday just to make sure it wasn't blockage. I think they are ok. No signs of distress or anything.
