So I was watching the history channel and it was talking about how chicken farmer break the day up in to 4 parts. Like they do 6 hours with light then 6 without and then 6 with light 6 without and so on. It said that this makes them grow faster.

Has anyone done something like this?

Any ideas on this?

I do 4 hours on 4 hours off then 4 hours on again on all my tanks. Not for growth but for algae control.
