I have a 30 gallon fowlr sw tank.
Currently, I have 2 damsels in it.
Someone in my area is selling 2 red and 1 green brittle stars on craigslist for cheap.
Does anyone have any experience with them? Should I get one for my tank?

Brittle starfish are nocturnal. Ie you will not really see them during the day. They are great at sifting through the sand and eating left over food. They are reef safe , but should use caution with slow moving inverts and slow perching fish. I would not pay anything over $6 each.

Oh okay, thanks for all your advice.
Btw what do you mean when you say use caution?

To just watch out for anything, they can have the tendency to grab inverts and pull them in and eat them. So if you notice something like that happen you should prob remove it.

Oh wow okay.
Now that you said 6 bucks, the guy is
Selling each for 12 so I might just
Skip it

its really up to you. most places sell them at retail for $6-$15. petco charges $8 for them. but if you really want one then by all means go and get one.

Do you think they would bother my mated clowns?
