My tiger shovel nose catfish has broken his feeler off right near the base and it has a white like bubble around it, I have attached a pic but it's not very clear. My question is, should I leave him in the main tank to avoid stress or put him in a smaller tank and treat with salt or meds until its healed?

I know it's a different type of catfish but I've had Pictus catfish before who have broken their whiskers off and they were just fine in the main tank. From my experience it will be fine unless it's behavior starts to change or stops eating.
