hey guys my bubble tip anemone i have had for about 7 months now all healthy untill about 2 weeks ago it didnt open up and refused to spawn any bubbles. its moved about 2 inches but since i had it in teh tank it hasnt budged. ive feed it brine shrimp, now it is refusing food unless i jam it into its oriface. Heres the thing. recenty wen the lights go out, it gets big but no bubble tips. and when i get home from work its shriveled up..

i recently last week replaced my cc bed with live sand because my nitrates went through the roof. i have 70lbs live rock in a 2 year established tank. any ideas? !? !? it hosts my maroon clown fish

thanks guys !

They don't always have bubbles on the tips. If it is getting fed well and has sufficient lighting it may not need the tips. Also it might be getting ready to split.

well...don't force feed it, if it raelly not doing well or something disturbing it, if u jam the food into its mouth it will just make the situation get worse.
Think about how you feel if someone jaming food into ur mouth after you had a car crash or some sort. BTA sometimes might not settle back as a bulb shape, it could be a lot of reason, might be light, might be water quality, also may even be food.

btw, anemone should eat something meatty, not just brime shrimp, try get some squid or frozen shrimp and wave it slowly at its tenticale see if it will take the food.
