Aquarium Advice Regular
So I am re-posting this issue here just to see if anyone can offer help:
While my betta, assassin snail and shrimp seem to be doing OK; I noticed that I am having a lot of bubbles at the top of my 5-gallon aquarium. I have just recently done an 85% water change and scrubbed the tank during cleaning. I am not sure if I overdosed a water additive into the tank or not.
The bubbles are not from a betta "bubble nest" as they are also forming on top of the gravity-powered fountain filter (where the betta has no access) as well as the tank area below. It is odd that the bubbles stay on top of the filter area by the rocks as the water current should push them off...but they remain.
I do not have a water test kit and if I move my fingers through the bubbles I can make this dissipate for a while but they come back. I never use soap to clean the tank (so no worries there).
Is this due to over feeding?
Should I be concerned?
What to do to remedy?
