Bug on my fantail

So, we noticed a few days ago that our white fantail had something on its tail that looked like a parasite or something. It grew fast.

Fast forward today, we moved him to our healing/medicate tank along with a threadfin and a glowlight tetra. I know don't ask.
Got home tonight and saw the threadfin chasing something and it turns out to be the bug that was on the fantail.
I took it out with a net. Anybody can identify this? I couldn't get any better video/picture of it though. It looked like something that was sucking blood out of our fantail...
