Hello, I was buying some fish from Petco and saw that they had Lucky Bamboo in their tanks. Can I do this? Will it be safe for my fish? I wanted to plan a ninja themed tank for my little brother, and I thought that would be perfect, but I don't want it to cause problems. Thanks!

I keep it underwater all the time, it eventually grows to tall to keep it underwater.

It will do best if the leaves are above the water line. If they are not then you run the risk of the plant dying and rotting. 'Lucky bamboo' is actually a type of dracaena.
