So I have a 20L mixed reef and recently my HOB filter that I was using for surface agitation and holding my chemi pure elite broke down. I had a canister filter laying around that I never got to using on my freshwater tank so I decided to hook it up to my reef. I know a lot of people frown against them for reefs but i like the surface agotation it provides. also I stripped it of all it's contents and replaced one of the two trays with my chemi pure and the second I was thinking of replacing with purigen. What are your guys thoughts on this? Is it ok to run both at the same time? And of course if you guys have any other suggestions for the media I would love to hear.
