Could anyone help me out with picking a good canister filter for a 75 gallon, that will be housing my goldfish when its done and most likely a few other fish. If you could give me suggestions that would be great.

I have a fluval 405 on my 75 gallon. It works great for me. Plenty of flow and you can put the intake and output on opposite ends of the tank. I also put a tetra whisper 30 in there just for more surface agitation. I've been running that combo for almost 2 years now.

Do you think it will keep up with the waste of 4 goldfish? Plus any new friends that come along

Fluval 406 is a great filter. Maybe two 406s, one on each end? Goldfish do have a HUGE bioload. What type of goldfish? And i thought goldfish and planted tanks don't mix well?

I keep a big fancy goldie tank and you are going to want to run 2 Fluval 406's for sure. Also be sure to clean them every 3 weeks with the goldies or else you'll see nitrates start to rise.

You think that will be okay?

I have a 106 and 306.. I really think Fluval 06 canisters are great. But if anyone would know, its Rivercats here. She uses multiple 406's on her 220g tank. If she says two 406's would work, I'd go with it.
