Canister Filter Placement

Hello,

Does anyone know if you can place a canister filter on the side of the Aquarium instead of under it. I have a 150 gallon tall tank and thought it would be easier to handle from the side.

I have a Fluval canister & the directions specifically said it had to be LOWER than the tank. If the sitting yours on the side is lower then you should be OK if the tubes are still straight.

The Zoomed cannister is made to be level with the tank. I have one on a Ryukin tank (100g) where I work. I like it a lot.
