centerpeed looking thing scampers trying to get back in a rock

Was looking in my tank the other day when my goby swims past a rock and a centerpeed looking thing scampers trying to get back in a rock, was about 2 inches long and red. i was too busy trying to get it with the net than take a pic
 
sounds like a bristleworm.

If so it's a bristle worm. The majority of them are a welcome critter. They are detritivores and do a good job of keeping the sand bed clean...(y)
 
That's about the only common aquarium critter that I can think of that fits the description of red and centipede like.
 
Yeah that was it, dont really think it was getting away from the fish, just think the fish swam and knocked it and it was getting away from the light
