Ok I know that you guys said that I wouldn't have to change my gravel out. Let's say I decided to change it with the Eco Complete Sand (black). How would you do it? I really love the look and it will be better for my future plants right? If it will stress my fishes too much though, then I will be ok with what I have. Also if I did get rid of my current gravel and change over, will that cause a mini cycle/recycle?

Advice please?

Put the fish in buckets. Drain the tank. Remove gravel. Add EcoComplete. Refill tank. Let filters run until the water is clear. Reacclimate fish.

You may see a small cycle, so keep your eye on the water parameters.

When you refill the tank put a large pot or something like that to keep it from getting real cloudy.. I just added Eco to my new tank and it's really cloudy.

Oh how much do you think I need? Does the 1-1&1/2 lbs per gal apply to planted tanks or is there a different way of calculating? Thanks again!
