I have an orange female clarkii (she's about 3.25" long) who has been hiding in one of her caves recently. I thought she was hiding to molt as this is around the time she does it, but when I looked in her cave I noticed that she has a large number of little brown eggs being held by here swimmer-etts under her tail. She is the only occupant of her tank since I got her at the pet store in September. I looked on Wikipedia and saw that sometimes clarkii's reproduce by parthenogenesis. Is that is what is happening here? Has anyone else had this happen?
