Clean medicated water.

Hi all. I am wondering if someone could tell me how I might clean my water after medicating in my 6 gallon betta tank? I understand that people use charcoal in a canister filter to do this ,but I am running a sponge filter in this tank. Is it OK to just rely on water changes to do this? Thank you.

You could put a media bag containing carbon in the tank. Put it somewhere in the water flow.

Hello and thank you for your reply. I did not know you could do that. I am new to the hobby and appreciate the advice. When you say medicine bag, is that something special or do you mean just a regular type media bag? Thanks.

Dont worry about asking questions.

These are what i use. I would thoroughly rinse out any carbon as you dont want the dust dirtying up your tank.
