Clown loach hiding at feeding time?

Does anyone elses clown loach hide when you go near the tank to put the food in? Mine hides and im worrying about the other fish robbing his food , any suggestions on what to do?

I put food down the inlet for ground dwellers it goes down fast to the substrate, my inlet is a long way from the pump so the food doesn't get in to the filter........

How many do you have? If just one that may be why they are very social and need to be in a group. But they do get large.

They do like to be in groups mike, as you say the are big, I don't have them anymore, my lot are in my sig below, the s.petricola catfish are amazing, Google them.......
