Signs of Ocellaris Clowns preparing to breed?

They will usually start cleaning the rock where they are going to lay their eggs. Heavily cleaning the rock to the point that their lips turn white from biting the rock

I have a 20g tank that's empty right now. If I start preparing water for it and add an airstone, will that be good for the fry. Substrate?

Yea. Better than an airstone i use a sponge filter which runs off of an air pump. Also the tank that you use for the fry u need to paint three sides of it black. Clown fry are very light sensitive. I never prepared new water for the fry tank. I filled my fry tank with water from my big tank where the eggs were layed when i did a water change. That way they are in the same exact water as the eggs were

Oh good idea about the water from the main tank! Didn't think about that. The tank I was going to use though is a hexagon, paint 4-5 sides?

Yep. Paint all the sides except one.
