I woke up about 3am last night, so I checked on the tank with a flashlight, without pointing it at the tank. I noticed my two clowns where sleeping on the sand! Is that normal?

Clowns will sleep anywhere. Mine sleep on different corals on the sand and on top of equipment.

On more then one occasion my clown has given me a scare as well. My brown saddle literally lays on his side, fins up, wedged under the LR. Even when the lights come on he swims all weird and groggy for a few minutes then back to his normal self.

haha! I feel like they are my kids or something.....I check on them all the time!

Mine sleep in the sand, up in the corner of the tank, on the protein skimmer.
They always tend to dig a nest in the sand.

As many have said in the past - Clowns will be Clowns!
