Ok could I swap the disposable for something refillable

The people that refill tanks can only refill certain tanks that have been hydrotested (at least in the US). Even if you could find an appropriate adapter, you may not be able to get someone to fill it.

Go with this one instead. It works well for many members and runs off of a paintball co2 tank.

This, from that site, looks like it has all you need including a rather small CO2 tank and some other doohickies. You might shoot them an email to ask if it's a CGA 320 tank (or whatever attachment is standard over there).

JBL ProFlora m601 CO2 Set | Charterhouse Aquatics

This might also work, although I'm less convinced it's a standard attachment tank. Would definitely recommend an email.

I would like to emphasize that you should call them and confirm that they will fit on non-proprietary tanks so that you can get refills easily. I would hate to spend that kind of money to find out I can only use expensive refills.
