Hi everyone.

Im a little confused with my ph test results.

My tap water comes out at KH of 14 and PH of 8.5

My aquarium with diy co2 using "misting" diffusion is giving me the following readings.

KH of 12 and PH of 7.5

So my CO2 is dropping my PH by 1.0 BUT using a CO2 calculator this is till only about 15ppm of CO2

Is it harder to increase CO2 concentration when starting with water of a high PH ( more alkaline )

My drop checker is green with kh water of 4 inside. the water is also PH of 8.5.... will this affect the drop checker?

According to the chart to go green it will need Ph of 6.8 but mine never goes below 7.5 so will always stay blue?

dont think the ph matters just the kh of the water. like i said if something in the tank is changing the water at all it throws the numbers off. this is why its best to use the drop checker vs the ph.
