Cobwebs?

I just stirred up a bunch of substrate during a cleaning episode and the sand seemed to stick to wite filamentous strands looking like cobwebs. Any idea what these are? Are they just worms of some sort? Should I be concerned?

Do a search for spaghetti worms. Sounds like that's what you have. They're beneficial. Go ahead and celebrate!

I think those are annelid snails. I have them everywhere in my tank. They shoot out a web like substance to catch food.

Where are the cobwebs? in the sand or lr? Like phyl says spaghetti worms.. If you have a wrasse they make a nest at night and it looks like webs..

I agree spaghetti worms/sand mason worms. Beneficial to your tank.

Vermetid snails.
Keep them.
