Trying to get my 72gallon running, can anyone tell me what kind of fish i could put in there ?

A large school of neon tetras, some clown loaches and/or a pair of Cory cats, and a pair of angel fish would look great! There's are so many things you could do with a tank like yours! :)
 
72 is a great size (I have a 75).

If I were you, I'd do a really impressive bottom dweller like my african featherfin catfish. Then, I'd do lots of schooling fish and perhaps a pair of angels.
 
Those neons will be snacks for larger angelfish later on. I'd suggest a larger schooling fish or spade shaped ones.
Rummys, lemons, black skirt, white skirt, bleeding heart, buenas aries, etc..
