What dosing do you guys do to get corals to pop anything from calcium, iodine ect

Corals color can be based on many things. Mostly light spectrum and nutrient levels in the tank. A higher kelvin light like 15-20k will lead to better coloration. Depending on the coral poor color can also be a result of to high of nutrient levels. Dosing iodine IMO is never needed and you should only dose if needed and you test for it. Calcium, alk and mag are all used to build a corals skeleton. They don't really help with color

Lighting is a kessil a150w 15k. And I dose alk but only because I need to.

Calcium 400-450. Alk-8-12 dKh. Mag -1300-1500. Iodine I wouldn't worry about.

You can really crash a tank if you don't know anything about dosing iodine.

Not necessarily crash your tank. The only ones affected are those corals requiring certain amount of iodine. The only reason iodine gets depleted is when you are not doing pwc regularly. Many experienced aquarists never test iodine and that includes me.
