2 raw shrimp have been in my tank since monday and are now almost completely dissolved, should I add a couple more after they are gone?

There are lots of little black dots in my sandbed up against the glass, will they go away over time?

Add a few more shrimp. You need to sustain the nutrient until the nitrite stage passes. What are your NH3 & NO2 readings (if any)?

Depends on what they are. Can you post a pic?

My NH3 is >2.5, I have no NO2.

Here are the plack dots, they started appearing the day after I put my sand in.

Not too sure on your dots, could be gas bubbles but not that likely being the age of the set up. More likely impurities in the sand or possibley trapped air from when the water was added.

At this point, watch and wait. No real reason to be alarmed.
