My daughter's 1" golden apple snail (living with Mr Betta in the 1 gal) has a crack in the shell. It's about 1/4 to 1/2" long & extend up from the free edge. The snail prob got dropped or knocked off the glass during tank cleaning. It is otherwise acting normally.

Anything to worry about?

not really, it will most likely heal during a molting phase, I know snails can grow back eyes, antennas, etc. during molting, I think they can heal there shells too

Snails don't molt :) But yes, the shell can heal, although it will have that crack forever. Just be sure that none of the snails "skin" is exposed. Believe it or not some people actually repair their snails damaged shells by glueing other shell pieces (even eggshells) to places where the skin is exposed but you have to be careful not to get any glue onto the snail and only the shell. (LOL probably too much info huh ?)

This is a great website to learn alot about snails
