Is there any way to kill hydra without killing snails?

Just reduce your feeding and you should be fine.

That or increase your feeding and reduce your water changes. Hydra are found in good water quality conditions normally. They pose little threat to anything, and can be a food source for certain animals. I would just be happy your water quality is good.

hydrogen peroxide at 3ml per gallon applied directly to the hydra worked for me. The tank has some pond snails that seem unaffected, RCS didn't survive.
