discus murder?

Recently added 8 neon tetra to my discus tank. Woke up today to only 6 and no dead bodies. I have 6 discus up to saucer size and a large royal panaque (spelling?) Any ideas where they went??

Neons can be touchy. I'm assuming your royal pleco is large enough to consume a couple of neon carcasses if they had happened to pass on during the night. That would be my guess but the discus are also a possibility IMO.
