Any ideas on how hard it is to breed discus im trying to start my little local pet shop and think these are amazing fish and am intetested in breeding them

a good idea is to buy a pair. the hard work is raising the fry to sellable size. they need a lot of water changes and a lot of food. you are also going to need several tanks for growing out the fry.

you'll need lots of time and money to breed discus. My discus breeder buys pairs for over $1000, does 100% water changes daily, keeps them at 84, feeds five times a day, culls the imperfect ones, and ships almost daily.

something like that are super high quality ones. normal pairs dont go for that much.
