I came home from work and find my hitch hiker emerald crab eating my soft sponge. What do I do? I thought at first he was cleaning it, but no he was eating. Are emerald crabs bad??? I have a video but I don't know how to upload it.

Crabs are opportunistic feeders. Emeralds are generally considered reef safe, but if a crab is hungry, he'll eat whatever is there, including sponges and corals. I have a ruby crab that I kinda wish I hadn't bought. Live and learn, I guess. Lol

Ok! Guess I'll cheer up! There's also a baby emerald. Hitch hikers! Can I convert a sump into a refugium?!!!
