Doin finishing touches this weekend. Howling usually do you wait until putting anything in after install. I know I have to test and get the right numbers but just need to know how long it usually takes to get to safe levels. It's a 55 gal tank.

I waited a day and a half on the last one I made simply because my fish were living in a couple inches of water. The one before I let it sit for 3 days after it broke loose. But my nerves with it were shot. All drying times are different for silicon so you need to read the package to see what it says.

Oh I was talking water wise. How long does it usually take for the levels to get to where they are safe for inhabitants?

My bad lol
Not sure I didn't have a problem because I have african Cichlids witch require a high ph. So not sure

Lol it's ok :) just wanna get it fully set up fast! A garage would really come in handy right now lol cause I don't think mixing and painting concrete would work out in the rain! :(

The concrete is cracking is that gonna be a problem. My bf is sayin we need to patch it with silicone

Mine didn't do that hmmm. Did you put it on to thick at once? If it was me I'd patch it with quickrete so it blends in. Or is it cracking when you pick it up and move it around? Could be you didn't get it on thick enough.

Put it on thick and when it dried I picked it up and some small cracks appeared. I'll just wait till I install and patch it up.

Got the color done gonna install tomorrow and fill the cracks

Got it all set up and cycling :) tested water yesterday and ph was at 7.0 but tested just now and it's off the charts. Is that because of the concrete?
