Hey all, little back ground info first.

I live in Scarborough (UK) in an old Victorian house (not well insulated) that is around 5 minutes from the beach.

However the beach leads to The North Sea!!! It's absolutely freezing during the winter (can see my breath in the bathroom!).

My tank (usually heated to 24-25°C) has being dipping to 23°C over night and the heater struggles to regulate the temp.

So do you think I need a larger more powerful one or is there any other solutions?

:thanks:

Well I have a juwel tank so the heaters are hidden, I'd like to keep it that way so 2 is out lol :)

I've seen small flat heaters at my LFS that would sit on the bottom of the tank or even buried in the gravel.

Wow! Just realised that the landlord had switched off the radiator in the living room (where tank is).

Switched it back on and the room is toasty as can be now :D

Thanks for your help tho! I'll still look into the new heater :)
