My 29gal aqueon kit came with the stock heater and is what I'm using (need to look up what wattage it is...) Anyways, since its been pretty cold in my apartment (highest is 66 degrees) my tanks temp has dropped. I had turned it up all the way for an ick outbreak and it only ever got to 83 - on Max power!
Then since its been colder here the tank has been down to about 74ish. Should I add another heater or just upgrade altogether ? I have tropical community fish. (Gouramis, tetras, bn pleco, bamboo shrimp, snails, julii corys)
Thanks in advance!

IMO it's always good to "one up" a heater and even better add another on the other side. It won't hurt. And the heaters won't have to work as hard.

Okay. I was just looking and I don't have room for a second one like I thought. So if I'm upgrading - do you recommend a brand or wattage?
