I saw this guy a few days ago and started wondering do they normally get this big? He's huge compared to the others I have. He's almost as big as my one inch guppies while the other ones get to around a quarter of an inch. Here he is

Mine don't usually seem to last but I did have a few which got to ~1 inch and bigger around than a pencil. My pH stays pretty low 6.4-7.4 usually and so does my KH so I don't seem to think pond snails prefer that condition and they don't seem to get very large. Though I know some fish will enjoy them as snacks - maybe why they don't mostly end up big.

I've had an occasional one get about dime sized. Snails don't do well in my tank.

I've had a few that size in my outdoor pools. Several were too large to be cracked by a 5" crayfish despit his best efforts.
