So, I know it's common for patterns to change a bit on snails when they change environments, but this is very interesting! I have two zebra snails and two red onion snails. The red onions still have a fairly typical pattern on their new shell coming in, however the two zebras both got weird. My first one seemed to either loose some part of the outer shell or start growing some in without any color...either way, the little spot of colorless area has remained unchanged since it happened and he has stopped growing in any new shell. The other.. well.. see for yourself LOL..i know it's not uncommon but does anyone know why? Also, why the one snail would just stop growing new shell all together? He hasn't changed in the year since I got him and he developed that colorless area.

Yup, my snail is currently about halfway switched between shells! The pattern is going an opposite way too!
