Drift wood that has been setting outside for a while.

I have some drift wood that was used in a tank awhile ago sitting outside, and i want to put it back in the tank. What do i need to do to be able to put it back into a tank besides water logging it? should i just scrub it in water with a brush, or boiling water? or something else?

hmm..i think i'd boil it and call it good

hmmm, what about pouring boiling water onto it in a bucket? its is a very large piece. It was used in a tank about a year ago, and has spend several months outside. so i plan on scrubbing it, soaking it for a week or two and pouring boiling water on it several times. do you think that will be good enough?
