Not sure about salvinia but duckweed grows like a weed and is super invasive, once you get it you can't get it out, not unless you remove every singe one...

I did hear that about duckweed. I think salvinia is a bigger type of duckweed, so easier to rid of. If I were to get duckweed, where would I dispose of it?

Either one will quickly cover the surface, just sccop some out and toss it into the trash when necessary.
