Dumb Question...

How do I get the dirt out of my wet/dry bottom? There is a lot of debris in the box (where the pump then sucks it up into the tank) and I'd really like to clean it. Is it just dirt, or bacteria or something I'm not supposed to touch?

I use my Python to suck out any debris that gets past my prefilter/drip tray in my sump. It's also a good idea to rinse out your media or bioballs every month to prevent nitrate build up.
