Hello all the fish people.
I have 105l rectangle community tank. I had 10 neon tetras already in it but wanted to increase the population.
And I wanted to try out dwarf gouramis. I know they're hit or miss fish and I was delighted cause first 3 weeks were magnificent: no fighting or chasing. Now the male has started beating up the two females, one has already bloody nose. This has gone over a week. He's been building bubble nest daily but gives females hard times always when they try to approach the open waters.
I did research before purchasing them and planted the tank so chased fish have cover. This seems not to be enough. I was hoping they'd come well along so seeing the girls being chased makes me feel sad. I read gouramis are territorial but when should I be concerned it goes too far?

Any suggestions how should I proceed now? Will the aggression subside or should I consider returning the little fellas.
Thanks for your time.
