Can these 2 be in the same tank? I have a 20 gallon. I was thinking of stocking it like this.

Corydoras paleatus get too large for a 20 gallon tank. I would stick with a cory species that doesn't exceed 2" adult size.
You could put CPD's in there, but they will be terrified of the gourami and apisto and they'll probably hide most of the time.
A 20 is on the small side for an apisto, and wouldn't be my personal choice, but I think it's considered suitable. Mixing cichlids and gourami's may not be the best idea. I often hear it shouldn't be done, while others insist they have done so successfully. I think you should have a back up plan, before mixing them, just in case they don't get along.
