Wow turning the lights off completely for a few hours made a huge difference! I had some red algae almost covering a rock and by this morning like 50% of it was gone! :)
 
If u have red algae that receded overnight its more then likely cyno.which tells me yur tank is polluted with nutrients nitrate phosphate with will realy hurt the health of coral.. what is your water parms
 
Just read all your info sorry I missed it nitrate and phosphate to high for corals u need to do a good pwc to bring them down and maybe run some gfo to get phosphate down
 
I'm pretty sure it didn't make it :( I did a good water change but I think not having any moment for a few days is what really messed it up.
 
U have to het those nitrates and phosphates down to keep corals..sorry for your loss
