Anyone using the 120w leds off ebay for sps?? If so how are they workin for you?

I would like to see the answer for this also... Not to hijack but I didn't want to post a near identical question. Will these lights work at 30" deep?

I have the ebay non dimmable 120w leds. I am burning stuff on my sandbed with it unfortunately. :-( The lights are really really bright. My tank is a 24 x 24 x24 rimless cube and I have the lights about 7-8 inches from the waters top.

If you can get the dimmable ones and I bet you have better luck than I am.

I have 120 watts, with 90 degree optic & with dimmable:) dimmable was the best in LED because you can always adjust,i have par lights & long one!

@ Carey try putting 3-4 layers of nylon household screen on your lights it will dim them and give your coral time to adjust, remove 1 layer each week I had same problem was melting my Zoo's and shrooms.

@ Justin my tank is 29" deep I have the TaoTronic non dimmable

@Dan my birds nest is showing remarkable growth under these lights.

What types of coral are you all growing?
Mostly SPS.
