I placed the pitcured plant ( not sure of name- receipt says Ezode) in my tank on the 2nd of March 2014 ( last week), and it seems to have discoloured.
I have fed it plant food (liquid) as directed but it just seems to be getting worse. You can see the green follage at the top of the plant is fine (bright green) bit has discoloured green leaves all the way down to the botton. Its currently just embedded into the rocks at the botton of my tank.
All other plants in the tank seem to be green and healthy. Any advice?

And will this maybe harm my fish, should i remove.
Please note i am still cycling.

You need to cut off the good green growth and replant each stem of it individually, not in a clump. The discolored part is dying/melting which can happen during it acclimation period in a tank. What lighting fixture do you have and what type bulbs?

Okay, thanks rivercat, wi give it a go.
I currently have LED lights ; came with the tank. There are 11 of them, not sure of size or watts ... Will let u know how i go . ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1394340241.927212.jpg

What's the temp in your aquarium? Elodea is typically a cooler water plant. I've used it in tanks 76F and above and it discolors and starts shedding itself

The tank is at about 77 degrees... Yes its shedding and discoloured... Might have to just get rid of it... Will cut and replant the good bits and let u know if it disolours again... Will also put the temp down to 75
