I just got a feather duster yesterday and I've been noticing a couple of crabs and shrimp in my tank are on top of it's outer tube. Are they trying to eat it? Should I leave them in there or take them out?

if it's failing they might be eating it. otherwise, they shouldn't bother with it. perhaps the tube has some algae or build up on it.

i mean if it's dying. if a creature is dying they might start on it eating the dead tissue. generally though, they shouldn't bother it.
