I've never seen a grouping like this before. Is this normal? I have plenty of other feather dusters in the tank but they all have a white tube base and are very spread out

If you touch them do they suck in? I'm leaning towards hydroids. I have a few under my leather coral that look the same. I belive it is the third stage of there life cycle. I could be wrong though. Oh don't touch them with your hands they pack a punch as well. Lol google them and compare pics. :)

Here's a few pics I found. Colonial hydroids.

hmmmm. so they are bad then. this is no good. i didnt realise. i will try aptasiax on them tomorrow then.

I could be wrong just giving my input. Like I said I have similar things under my leather. So far no troubles what so ever I just let them be. One thing that confirmed it for me was I saw the little jellyfish like baby's which is the free floating stage before they colonize. They are quite remarkable creatures. I did a few google search's on them in the past and I couldn't get a solid answer on weather they are good or bad but they do have a very interesting life cycle and there are thousands of different types. Kinda like polycete worms. Hopefully we get some more opinions from others. :)
